Talking My Ramadan Experience!

Hi All,

Just need to share this as I personally find it really funny, but before I do I am not disrespecting those that observe Ramadan!

Anyway went to Tunis on Tuesday and spent a rather long 3 days there, on the Wednesday after lots of long walking headed for Tunis capital by this time I was starving (Im not observing Ramadan this year) and everywhere of course was closed, we decided to head for the Baguette which is well known for tourists, thinking it was closed as per the norm cafes and restaurants that do serve food have to cover up the windows etc so no one can see! well opened the door and man was I so shocked to find literally over 100 tunisians crammed into this restuarant, eating, drinking and smoking like ive never seen before. I was the ONLY 'tourist' in there and it was so funny to see I nearly took a picture!! now I know there are lots that dont observe for various reasons, but there was young to old, sick to well in there and every time that door opened everyone turned to look to see who was entering, oh I just sat there laughing at the whole experience, no doubt a lot of them then had to go home and sit at the table to eat.

But apart from that I did enjoy 3 days with my fiances family who are observing Ramadan and as always enjoyed helping out and being a part of it.
