Default Your wedding

Hi .. I got married in Tunis, Tunisia on the 20th August this year ... i know exactly how you feel ... once you get started and get the right information it is easy ..

I applied for my certificate of no impediment from my local registry office in england took it to the embassy in Tunis who translated it into french for a fee and we had to go back and collect the next day..

You dont need to get your birth certificate translanted by the embassy it can be done by a typist who does traduction's in any city or town make sure you get this done 21 days before the wedding if it is dated before it will be rejected..

I got a certificate from a doctor in Tunis i didnt have any tests and i didnt even speak with the doctor my fiance (at the time did it all for me) then took all of our documents to the place where we were getting married and got a date.. they also needed a copy of my passport and his birth certificate.. thats it ...

dont forget to ask for a copy of your marriage certificate in French as the british embassy wont deposit a copy in the english records if the certificate is in arabic. And if you do send it via the embassy in Tunis to be deposited in the english records it is a registed and legal marriage in england.

Hope you enjoy your wedding ...
