Hey Isis
Can't really comment on many places in Tunisia as we usually holiday in Pek/Sousse! My husbands from the south just at the Sahara desert (kebili).
I've been a couple of times with him in the winter (January) and found it to be really beautiful although a little breezy!
We drove down to Kebili from Sousse (took about 5 hours) and was an experience I would recommend to all. The sights you see are not only beautiful but totally off the scale...i.e camels in the back of pick up trucks etc!
We stopped in Douz for something to eat..Grilled meat! This was a total eye opener as the wee lamb hung up on the spike for the man to chop bits off and cook for us, and his wee friend played around our feet as we ate!
Honestly its an experience that you never forget.
Bought all the local spices and sweets at the road side on the way. Each small place is seperated by vast open spaces..its great!
Hope you have a fab time travelling....I hope to be able to do the same soon.
