I can recommend the island of Kerkennah, my fella took me there a few weeks ago and it was lovely. We took the ferry over then travelled across the whole island on his moped. We stopped off for a fish dinner in a restaurant overlooking the sea, it was beautiful. Kerkennah is very laid-back & has a relaxed atmosphere, I could certainly see myself living there. Sfax on the other hand I found to be totally crazy - maybe it's because I don't live in a city but it was chaotic all the time, traffic & people everywhere, all trying to get to the same place at the same time!! So Kerkennah was a welcome relief, I really enjoyed the peace and quiet.
