Tunisia's reputation as a producer of fine wines is growing and recent achievements have gone some way to improving it further.
The International Agro-Food Salon which was held in Paris saw a number of Tunisian wines given the Best Buy label.
Tunisian vineyards are blessed with a near-constant supply of life-giving sunshine and many years of hard work have helped to perfect the art of growing grapes and making wine.
This is reflected in the amount of wine that is exported from the country, with 100,000 hectolitres being shipped out each year.
People in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada and the US can access the wine in their country, as well as those in Tunisia who benefit from the production of 350,000 hectolitres every year.
Tunisia is certainly gaining a reputation as a respectable producer of wine, but commentators say the industry is being hampered by a lack of image.
It is in response to these concerns that a marketing offensive is being planned, in which a wealth of information about the wines and the growing methods will be made available.
