- During a plenary session chaired by speaker of the Chamber Foued Mebazaa with presence of foreign minister Abdelwaheb Abdallah, The Chamber of Deputies adopted, two draft laws allowing the creation of a regional centre of the United Nations Office for Projects Services (UNOPS), and the agreement of an additional protocol of the Euro-Mediterranean convention which establishes an association between the Tunisian Republic, the European Union (EU) and its member countries.
Concerning the UNO, The bill provides for the approval of a draft agreement concluded between the Tunisian government and the United Nations Office for Projects Services on the creation of a UNOPS's regional centre in Tunisia.
At the European level, further to Brussels convention signed , on May 31, 2005 , The draft law provides for the approval of the additional protocol to the Euro-Mediterranean convention which partnership between Tunisia, on the one hand, and the EU and its member countries, on the other.
