Mr. Abdallah Kallel conferred with Japanese prime minister Yasuo Fukuda to whom he extended President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali's regards, pointing out to the Head of State's will to advance Tunisian-Japanese relationship.

- In fact, Speaker of the Chamber of Advisers Abdallah Kallel had a series of talks with Japanese officials, as part of his official visit on April 6-11 in Japan at the head of a delegation of advisers.

Both countries’ officials expressed their commitment to strengthen the bilateral co-operation, thanks to the determination of the two countries' leaders to raise it to the level of productive partnership in the service of the two countries' and the two friendly peoples' interests.

In this regard, The Japanese premier expressed consideration for the achievements accomplished in Tunisia as well as for the key role it plays in the service of peace and moderation in the Arab and Mediterranean regions.
