Default Britain-Tunisia: hydrocarbons convention

- The “Reap-Tunisia Gmbh” company, affiliated with the British cairn group, and the Tunisian Enterprise of Oil Activities (ETAP) have had recently A hydrocarbon exploration permit, the “ Nabeul permit. In fact a ceremony gathered industry, energy and small- and medium-sized enterprises minister Afif Chelbi, and Mr. Simon John Thomson, director-general of “Reap-Tunisia Gmbh “ and Mr. Khaled Becheikh, ETAP chairman and managing- director and signed the convention on hydrocarbons exploration.

The ceremony was notably attended by secretary of state in charge of renewable energies and food industries.

In this regard, The five-year works, at an initial stage, correspond to the exploration of soil and the drilling operation, for an investment estimated at 6 million dollars.

This convention sets the conditions according to which the “ Reap-Tunisia Gmbh" company will achieve research, development and exploitation of the hydrocarbons field specified by the permit and concessions to be issued from it.
