Mr. Khélil Lajimi Tourism Minister received Saturday in Tunis, a delegation of officials and economic operators of the Italian region of Bari who is making a visit to Tunisia under the twinning of the city of Gabes and the province of Bari, south of Italy.

The meeting was an opportunity to examine ways to increase tourist cooperation between Tunisia and the Italian region.

In this regard,The minister, said that several areas are going to be more concrete for a more sustained bilateral cooperation, particularly with regard to vocational training in the tourism sector and the development of ecological tourism.

Infact, the possibility of promoting the twinning between hotel schools between the Italian and the Tunisian ones was taken into consideration.

On the other hand the meeting was an opportunity for both sides to express a shared commitment to further intensifying the flow of tourists between the two countries linked by several affinities of historical and cultural development.

in this perspective, Mr. Vincenzo Divella, president of the province of Bari, said that several investors from the region are interested in the opportunities which the Tunisian tourism offer.
