Ha ha Kris, you should just have told her to take a look at this sites' souk to see examples of Tunisian craft! Silk is a speciality, for instance in the Mahdia area. Beatuiful carpets in various styles too, especially in Kairouan. Olive wood items, brass plates, silver jewellry and more. Kris mentioned couscous and of course you must not miss the wonderful Tunisian food!
