Default Creating a Tunisian Company - benefits and costs?

Hi

In Europe it is normal for a company to be able to reclaim the sales tax (VAT/TVA) when purchasing goods and services. Does the same principle apply in Tunisia? This would mean that it would be smart to creat a company before you buy a property and/or goods.

However, making a company in Tunisia maybe a big and drawn out deal.

Would appreciate any comments on this.

Cheers,
Antony

I do not know the answer to this question, but have you read all the info on our main page under "business"? Maybe you can get some help there.

Its actually easy and and not that expensive.

I will put more details down tomorrowbut basically the most annoying thing is the barriers to protect TUnisian businesses.

For example some businesses (including property) are subject to tunisians having 50% share in the company (may not be the case in tourist zones) whist other businesses for example exporting are tax free ( for 10 years) ad you get a load of help.

Have look at the Fipa website and they have all the details.

50% ownership requirement wouldn't be too bad. I have thought about starting businesses in other countries with women being partners. Having the internet available makes it easier to do business!

Now all I need to to find some seed money!
