Cool Can i travel idependently and easily from hammamet to el djem?

my partner and i are in hammamet in june. we would like to see ej djem but do not want to do the two day sahara excursion. is it possible to travel independently from hammamet to el djem - if so what is the easiest way to travel - train? does anyone have details - timetables etc....
alternatively are there any excursions which would just go to el djem?
thanks

Which operator are you going with and what hotel.

I think there may now be a 1 day trip which goes to El Jem then Kairouan.

Be adventurous, take the train south, louage and/or taxi, I can not give you the exact itinary right now, but your hotel or ep should advise you, do not be conned into over priced excursions.

Hi,

As mentioned above ... there is one day excursion to Kairouan and El Jem.

Otherwise you can just take a louage, or a touristic Taxi.

Thanks,
Makrem

Try http://www.tunisie-voyages.com/ , maybe you can arrange to be picked up at a hotel along with other tourists that want to take the same tour.
