Default goats!

Urgent advice if possible. Frank and I want to buy pregnant goats for several lovely families that we were fortunate to meet in Spring at a little village near Kassarine. It would be very helpful is someone could give us an idea of how much these are likely to cost us. Not a usual request I know, but maybe someone can help me! Thanks a lot - Janette x

Hi Kris and Samwella - Many thanks for your replies. Much appreciated.
I know where to get the goats from as we pass several goat herders en route to the village - and I can handle the purchase as I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself . The problem is, I really would like an idea of the price so that I can negotiate the sales fairly. I am aware that it is not normal to bargain for food purchases, but --------- !
Kris, the 500 you quote for the goat - is that in dinars? I hadn't anticipated having to pay £196 for a goat - in kid or not
Samwella, your quote of 250 dinars for 2 small sheep seems more realistic. That is a little under £100 - so £50 each As you say the sheep were small, it is (hopefully) perhaps the same price for a goat.
Anymore info will be appreciated. Thanks again. All best - Janette x

Buying sheep or goats for killing is different than buying them for breeding though, epsecially pregnant ones which of course up the price.
