Yeah it is annoying isnt it. Never ever have I flown back from Monastir and not been delayed either, and that used to be the worst as you had said your awful goodbyes and then had to sit in the departure lounge for ages, with tears streaming. tunis is a much nicer airport aswell.

Hi Gem, It's just under 2 hours from Tunis to Sousse. Medhotels have a cheap transfer that they do from Tunis airport to Sousse for only £5.05 each way. I've used it and can and do highly recommend it. If you want to book on line, go into www.medhotels.com then transfers where you can choose which hotel you'd like to be dropped off at - Riadh Palms is one of them in Sousse. It's tremendous value for money.

Hi Sparkle, It really is a tremendous deal and so well organised. They check your flight arrival times and are waiting for you after the baggage hall (well signposted). For your return you are given a number to confirm times within 24/48 hours of your departure. One driver even went out of his way to drop me at my house which was only a few minutes away from the hotel drop off point but it was late at night and I had luggage.

I did take a taxi down once and it cost about 90 dinars then (about 4 years ago) so unless you negotiate with the taxi driver, it can work out really expensive.

Well, when I fly in June , i'm going from London Heathrow, to Tunisia Tunis....
I wasn't sure what that would be like, as I have only ever flown into Monistar before.
So I phoned my boyfriend in Sousse, and he said not too worry too much, he will come and pick me up. I don't mind that it takes two hours to ge to Sousse, because those two hours will be spent in the car chatting to the man I miss so much !
