Flights summer 2008

I purchased a single ticket from Thomas Cook for later this month and thought I would buy a ticket home in Tunisia from Nouvelaire at Monastir Airport, as have done this previously. Now I find out that Nouvelaire do not fly to UK any longer, or at least London.

I have been searching and searching the net for a single ticket from Tunisia back to UK and the prices have been extortionate, like £350 - £600 for a single ticket. Finally I came onto this website and read a thread, (cant find it now to reply to!). It mentioned two companies who have been very helpful. I emailed one company and have got my ticket home from Tunisia to Uk for £89.00 I couldnt believe it!! These holiday companies are a rip off. I have never seen prices so high. Also Tunisair's prices are up to £1000.00 and BA not much better. The company that helped me was Tunisiafirst.co.uk. Make a note of it for future reference. First Choice, Thompson and Thomas Cook told me they could not give prices in emails. I got quoted £365 by XL flights for a single and I thought I would have to just abandon the holiday. Anyway am happy now Hope this helps anyone else in a quandry!!

Am I right in assuming that if they fly to England from Tunisia that you can get flights the other way too? If so do they also fly to Manchester?

Would be nice to know for future reference as you say some companies can be very expensive.

you might be worth waiting til BA do there sale flights to tunis they release a certain amount every year, if you register on there website they will send you info on special offers so you can book them beofre they all go x x

hellogaby ive have been trying to get a return ticket from birmingham 2 monastir but the prices r really hi really dont want to abandon my trip.only staying 4 1 week from the 27th of august
