Default RE: Rent a car?!

If anyone has a recommended car rental company aside from the large international one please post here and eventually i will add a recommended section to the main website.

Remember if in doubt go for a large international company as they will have standards and also give you the opportunity for redress in your home country should you be annoyed.

As with all car hire please check the car before you go and also check the car when you drop it off and make sure that you get the name from the member of staff whom takes the car from you and that they said the car is fine and not damaged.

Usually the places where you pick the car up varies. If you need it at the airport you can pick it up there. I always look on-line and they have maps showing the location and street. The dates you need it and the price are there.

Default car rental Tunis airport

Has anyone rented a car at Tunis airport recently? We will need to rent a car in October and I am looking for the best rates. I could not find anything cheaper than £262 per week, which, I think is too much. Any ideas or assistance? Many thanks.

I was trying to find you a better deal for the week of October that you're renting a car for. This is a quote from Avis.

here's another one to look at:

First of all I love your Name TRULYMADLYDEEPLY! Driving in Tunisia may be a little bit of an experience. I went to India in 1989, and the driving there was so crazy. THere is no way to decribe it. There were diesel trucks right next to children, and people walking , next to people on bikes and rickshaws. They had lights , but trucks went down the middle of the road beeping loudly. I loved every minute of it!!

Thanks Grace. Yeah I have driven in Tunisia many times makes me laugh on the backstreets near where his family live mums with kids just walk out in front of the car and keep walking in front of you unless you hoot they carry on. Then look at me like Im doing wrong!! Hello, horsepower not horse!!!!!!!!!

What a sight with a family in front of you. I know what you mean about constant distractions. It's always changing too. Loud, diesel smelling trucks with little children in their path. They won't move in front of the road. So the beeping continues.

Hi,
Try a local car rental when you get there. I recently hired a car for 1 month and it cost me £280. which is really good!! My husband organised it all from a man in Hammamet. most of the times the local (location) office's are much cheaper than renting from companys online!!
