Couscous is the Tunisian staple, and bread is served on the side, often with a dish of harissa (minced hot peppers, spices and olive oil) for dipping the bread in. All sorts of fruit and vegetables that are in season are eaten and meats include mutton, goat, turkey, chicken, camel...

That's kind of funny you should say that because when my husband assures me I will like something you almost can bet that I won't.

I haven't tried it. But being from Minnesota, we have eaten venison, partridge, and bear. I didn't like the bear at all. Venison is delicious when cooked with the right herbs and seasonings.

Well I haven't tried it as there has been no opportunity, but I would not hesitate.

Well it has a strong flavor but I tried several dishes on my trip to India. If I came for a visit there I would love to try the food. Even the spicy ones !

If it is really strong then I probably wouldn't like it all that much. I have had vensison and some other things. My husband is a hunter but I don't care for the real gamey tasting meat.
