well i think Tunisia is a destination during all the four seasons:
in the spring and summer i advice you to visit and enjoy the tunisian towns along the mediterranean coast like::BIZERTE,HAMMAMET and SOUSSE ..

In the winter, the Tunisian south has a warm climate and i personally i founded out in january 2006 a wonderful south town called TOZEUR!! believe me it was a fantastic trip amid the dunes of the desert, oasis and the palmtrees.

The best time for a visit is good to know. It's sounds like a year round visit can be made successfully. The warmer southern cities have palm trees and sand dunes. It truly sounds like an oasis to me.

I would like to go during the springtime and stay along the Meditterranean. I would think that would be beautiful and so relaxing.

Spring is great, warm enough to be very very comfortable indeed.

I too would prefer the spring season. It is best time to visit not just Tunisia but any place I plan out it would be mainly spring. It is just perfect timing.

I agree that any time of year would be a good time for a visit. I definitely prefer the places along the coast when it comes to staying for a week or so but day trips to the inner towns would be great.

My question about best time to visit is this. Do the hotels on the coastal cities have sales during the off-season? We have plenty of that here in Virginia Beach, VA. A hotel room that goes for $150 in July , goes to under $60 in September.

That is a good question? I am not sure though on the answer but I would think that there would be an offseason. What would be considered the off season in Tunisia? Thanks.

I was thinking that maybe there isn't an off season there in Tunisia. I really am curious about that. Most countries do have them and make full use of it.
