Default Train From Hammamet To Sousse

The train from Nabeul runs through Hammamet and then on to Birbouregba. You will then need to change trains there, to go to Sousse. The fare from Nabeul to Sousse, was roughly the same price as the louage fare in 2007, which I think from memory was 5 dinars and something per person, one way. Nabeul train station have timetables. You can also try the website for trains in Tunisia, http://www.sncft.com.tn/ Also try the following link :- http://www.seat61.com/Tunisia2.htm#Gabès
If you happen to be in Tunisia when you wish to catch a train, the train times are also always in La Presse newspaper, each day.

We bought a week Carte Bleue the last time I was there which allowed us free travel on some trains. Can’t remember how much it cost now, we did needed photos.

hey you can get a louarge (not sure if that is correc t spelling) pick one up at the louarge station - the reps used to use them, really cheap, just a shared taxi x x

Earlier this year I took the train from Hammamet to Sousse.
Rather then changing trains, I took a taxi (Dinar 3) from the Phenicia Hotel in Hammamet to Bir Bou Regba (BBR) , a few kilometers out of Hammamet, and stepped on the train to Sousse, so no more changing. It takes 1 hour on the train.
A first class single ticket did cost Dinar 6.250.

Yes you are right. It is actually Birbouregba where you change for the train to Sousse, not Barakat Essahel (this is where you catch the louage to Sousse, which I used to use more than the train.)
