Well at least it would have cooled them down lol... Nah seriously I have driven in Tunisia a few times and I find it very stressful.... I don't mind it so miuch in Hammamet but when we go to see his family in Kef I dread it.... Strange tho I don't mind driving in Tunis might be coz I'm used to driving in Londaon and its pretty similar except for the camels, sheep etc !!! lol

I would totally agree.. I drove from Sousse to Soviva nr PEK in a hire car in April..well that wasnt to bad.. Luckily i got out of driving into Tunis which is where we were going. However i did most of the driving back on the motorway which was fine till i had to come off & drive thru Hergla area in the dark on dodge road.. Mind you least there wasnt that many people or cars around.. It was the first time I'd driven on the right side of the rd but i fou it ok actually..felt easier to change gears with my right hand.. I'd do it again even though yes you do have to look out for things you wouldnt here.. mainly people who just walk in frnt of you if you slow down.. & goats, sheep, carts etc..All good fun though lol

I agree with you there, but also have to say they are also VERY helpful if you break down. Not like here where evryone just ignores you on the M25 with ya bonnet up and hazzards flashing!!!

Hi,

Does anyone know if it would be cheaper for me to rent a car before I get to tunisia or for my boyfriend (who lives in Tunisia) to rent one out there?

I agree with Sparkle, last year we rented with Avis and when we picked up the car the girl said that if he had just done it when we got there as a Tunisian we would have got a cheaper price.
