See I Like to think of the battered taxi's as part of Tunisia's charm.

I couldn't agree with you more....

And the only reason we believe the taxi's are so battered , is because we are used to such comforts in life. And we take for granted our fast, flash, expensive cars.
We should be thanking our lucky stars that we can afford such things.
Tunisian's don't have alot of money, work isn't great. And people just can't afford to keep up payments of buying a new car....

With that said - I do think the taxi drivers should SLOW DOWN a little.... oh my god, I had to close my eyes a few times ....
That's not just with taxi drivers either, that's with pretty much all Tunisian driving, my boyfriends brother included. And then when he asked me if I had a licence and fancied taking the wheel.. I was like 'no thank you'

Well in a taxi one night, my other half got told off, because I kissed him whilst we were sitting in the back seat... The taxi driver told him never to do such a thing in the back of a taxi again. Oops, I really didn't know I would be offending anyone !

I was holding my husband’s hand on the train once and the ticket collector said something, got it translated and hubby said “not correct”. I guess linking arms would be ok!

A man put his arm around me on a train once but that was normal.

Or may favourite an old man was talking to me and he held my hand I am used to it now.

You can hold hands whever you like just not in your home town ;-)

Yes its true there is a time and a place for everything...however its not the place of a taxi driver to tell you when and where you can kiss...my husband and i always hold hands and kiss (not full blown snogging) in taxis, on the street etc...i think you will find that that taxi driver is in the minority....

Hi All

I cant say i enjoy the taxi rides much maybe because we always get into the taxi where the window doesnt open and it gets mighty hot in august.Cant say i have ever had any problem holding hands with my hubby in public or anything like that .Dont much feel much like holding hands when i feel like a chicken roasting horrid.

lol at you sb123 . I dont imagine I will want to hold his hand too much in June when I go back out there, because I imagine it will get pretty hot even at that time of year!
I hated getting into a taxi and not having a clue what my other half and the taxi driver were talking about. I just used to sit and smile. And nod my head !!!
