Exclamation Questions about Hammamet

Hello,

I want to ask some information about Tunisia and a 6day trip i am planning to do
at June.I book to stay in Hammamet City because is close to sea.

I want to ask the following questions:

1. How the weather will be in June.

2.How far is to go from Hammamet to El Jem? Is it possible to hire a taxi or another car and how much fare around?

3.How far is to go from Hammamet to Tozeur?Rate around for a private taxi?

4.How far is to go from Hammamet to Susse?Rate?

5.Mosquitos in Tunisia is a big problem?

6.The hotels provide tours? Is it possible from Hammamet to do a day tour in sahara with camel?

7.Any sightseeings that are MUST point to see?

Thanks a lot for the help in advice.

I want to ask the following questions:

1. How the weather will be in June.

Hot your looking usually 80+ with some hotter days but not too much so

2.How far is to go from Hammamet to El Jem? Is it possible to hire a taxi or another car and how much fare around?

Not long you are looking at about an couple of hours to get there I would suggest a hire car or driver to get there rather than a taxi. I would call a few car hire companies and a some of them do cater for driver + car.

Also many tour companies operate in Hammamet and you can get a good deal from them.

3.How far is to go from Hammamet to Tozeur?Rate around for a private taxi?

Loads of money i cannot even contemplate it after driving down seven hours from Bizerte (2/3 hours from Hammamet) you are better getting a tour down there or renting a car.

4.How far is to go from Hammamet to Susse?Rate?

I do not know the rate but you are looking at 1/2 hours depending on traffic.

5.Mosquitos in Tunisia is a big problem?

Sometimes but not in the beach resorts usually as they love still water by all means take some insect repellant is you desire.

6.The hotels provide tours? Is it possible from Hammamet to do a day tour in sahara with camel?

Pretty much all of them do especially the larger ones remember tours operators can be contacted directly and thus you can usually save some money there. We have started a new tours/travel agency section this week which we hope to add some companies into.

7.Any sight seeings that are MUST point to see?

El Gem is mega as is the medina and rebat of sousee. If you have never been to the south before it is like another world. Tunis is also lovely as is sidi bou said and Bizerte harbour.

Thanks a lot for the help in advice.

Citronella Essential Oil can be used as a bug/cockroaches/mos repellent. I’ve used it in the past. Put a few drops into a spray bottle with water and use it as an air freshener deterent. You can use the oil directly on the body, but I would use it in a base oil like wheat germ etc and massage on the body. It’s quite a potent smell so be careful you don’t feel nauseous. It does the trick though

Thanks a lot for the replies.I have been to africa to mozambique but because this time i take with my girlfriend and is her 1st trip i choose tunisia to see something different and not a common Europe trip that can do all time.

We arrange to stay to Sindbad hotel. As i saw from comments looks like and is not a crowded area.

Some other questions are:

1.Which is the best beach in Hammamet?
2.About nightlife?
3.Any famous fast food restaurant like Mac Donalds or Kentuky can be found there?
4.Any local festival in June or another attraction?
5.Extreme sports can be found in Hammamet like jetski, atv motorcyrcle and other?

Kris you said about an agency u open is it possible to arrange us the cars to visit some places we want? or visit the most we can in these days?
The problem is the days are not lot and we dont want to loose a time on this. Also this trip will be published in a travel magazine here in Greece because i am very famous about my job and always i do a presentation of my trips.
This is most imporant for us the transportation.

Sorry for the many question maybe i do for you just the time is very important for us.

Thanks
Simon

Unfortunately not as I am not a travel agency however I have met Octopusvoyages (www.octopusvoyage.com) and Batouta Voyages (www.batouta.com) they spoke english and are professional companies whom should be able to asist you also they should be able to get a good price for you as they are local.

The problem is the days are not lot and we dont want to loose a time on this. Also this trip will be published in a travel magazine here in Greece because i am very famous about my job and always i do a presentation of my trips.

Just like me ;-) well aside from the famouse part make sure you give Tunisia.com a link!

This is most important for us the transportation.

I am sure the aforementioned companies can help you if not post again and I will fine others as i am starting to know the good folks here in Tunisia.

I have just read if you take vitamin B before going out in the evening you are less likely to be bitten ,mosquitoes don't like the taste
