Thumbs up Hergla, near Sousse

Hello everyone,
we have just bought a flat in Thalassa residence, hergla. We would love to hear from other people who have also bought there. I know there are a lot of French , Swedish ans some British people who have already purchased a flat there. Or it would be nice to just exchange news on what's happening in hergla.

Hi Nicolle,
We are in the process of buying D2.14 at Thalassa Residence. We are visiting next week to sign the contract and get the keys, and maybe start buying furniture. We visit again at the end of April, hopefully , to complete the process.
We used 'thetunisianhouse' - it has all been easy so far.....
Dave and Bob, Stroud, UK.

Yes, it would be lovely to see you. We started furnishing the flat in february and are going back there on 10th April for 2 weeks + getting the keys for the studio we have bought in the same residence with a view to renting it out. We bought directly from the promoter, so it may have been a little more difficult than for Dave+ Bob or your friends Soussenika as the flats were supposed to be ready last July. But Who did you contact to rent a flat? We will soon want to find some dynamic and trustworthy agent to help us find tenants for the studio.

This swedish family actually bought it directly from the constructor, not by agent. They have been playing golf in Tunisia for many years and have some knowledge since before how to act. He contacted the company, visit in november and then they signed the contract, the day after they meet with the companylawer at the townhouse in Hamman Sousse. The progresse took just two hours. Very smoothly indeed. Now they are back in Sweden and promoting their app for rental also for the period they not are there by themselves. It might be a good idea for you to contact him, Mr Jan Roos at www.tunisianhome.com for being the agent for you. They are relaiable. I will not speak for Essem she can do it by herself but she might have some ideas who can be the agent for you. (Heeeellooo Essem - have you returned from Malta yet???) Myself prefer Sousse so I just took a walk in the neighbourhod behind my favouritehotel where I use to stay on my vacations. Saw a european foreigner on a balcony, asked if he had some knowledge of app and he said yes, my former on top of this is available, would you like to visit? And so I did. He had keept the key just in case of problem with the parabol on top. It has been empty for 6 month and this men from Germany was renting it for about 2 years ago but thought it was too big for one person so he moved to a smaller one downstairs. Between him and now it has been rented by a tunisian family that didn´t pay the rent. The day after he followed me to visit the houseowner and after that I decided and went back to the owner and pay 2 month in advance + gave him a copy of my passport. They need it if something happens, otherwise they can be in trouble by the authoritys. So thats my story so far (I have many more)..I´ll keep everybody posted later on..

Thanks for your advice. My husband will contact Jan Roos -by mail,I suppose? Is he the actual owner of the flat in the same block as ours (bloc d)? And who is Essem????We are new to this forum. I didn't know it existed and only knew the MFE forum on Tunisia(in French - we are a French-British couple). It is so good to "be" with people who -like us- love Tunisia!
Sounds good for your flat in Sousse. Best of luck!!
