Talking Hotels in Sousse and PEK

Well having been a rep in Tunisia I have lived in a few hotels and thought my reviews might be found helpful by some:
Tour Khalef:
This is my favourite hotel out of the two resorts. It isn't wheelchair friendly at all so take this into account. This hotel in the summer is great for children and has an excellent kids club but you can only join if booked through Thomson. The restaurant has recently been renovated and is very spacious and has great selection and variety. the hotel staff are very helpful and many guests know the staff as they have been coming to the hotel for years and the hotel has always tried to keep the same staff.
entertainment is lively in the summer specially with the kids club, they also have live singing, kareoke and other ents. they have a big sports screen and always play the big matches. if your match isnt showing you can just ask animation and they will set this up for you.
Hotel Salem:
This is such a friendly hotel and has great outdoor facilities, on its ground. the food is amazing the only thing that lets this hotel down is it needs a decorate. the rooms need decorating also, best hotel for entertainment in the evening - great ents team
Hotel Royal Salem:
best hotel for food in my opinion - i have ate in most of them and this is the best they even served bacon at breakfast one morning
very nice reception and lovely spacious rooms, you can also join in the ents in the salem in the evening
Hotel Royal Kenz
This hotel is great if your 40+ it has great ents and the animation team are brilliant, if your a bit younger as i said the animation are good but you will probably be travelling a long way each night to get into sousse and finding something to do.. it has wonderful food and a la cart restaurants and great facilities. There are many many re-occuring guests each year but as I said they are mostly over 50, which is great if your over 50
marhaba club
this hotel is nicely decorated and has nice facilities but im afraid the food and entertainment let it down.
Marhaba beach.
lovely hotel nice facilities, more for the 40+ again i think not really a young persons hotel. nice rooms.

Guys, Have stayed in the El Mouradi Palm Marina (PEK) heaps of time and have to say it's my favourite hotel in Tunisia. The shows that the animation team put on always leave me wondering how they have so much energy and the Children's entertainment is also really good. My family & friends started going here as the Royal kenz stopped allowing children and enjoyed it so much that they kept going back. The staff have always been so helpful and friendly and will remember you when you go back. I know that a large number of guests go back year after year to this hotel which tells you something about the standards. It's always spotless and the person cleaning the room even goes to extra effort making little fans out of your pyjamas and things.
Disco on site as well as a dico in one of the hotels on the street that lets others in so there is things for you to do. Not too far from a few good pubs, like O'Donnells Irish Bar on the road into Sousse. Has the beach at the bottom of the complex and lots of activities here in the summer for those willing to try them out.

I was reading and writing when i got into work at 7am so still abit sleepy

Also meant to add, that in the winter months alot of the guests at Palm Marina (and alot of the local hotels) tend to be of an older age group. i have found myself in the past sitting chatting to 80 year old ladies from canada. Not necessarily a bad thing but night life may not be what it is in the busier summer months. Although the hotel did still open the disco for those guests that did want to go down for a dance (or continue drinking in my case)

Tootsy I havent stayed there personally but I've heard fantastic reviews on it.. if you go to holidaywatchdog.co.uk your'll see what i mean.. When we did a drop of there in April all the animation were outside dressed up dancing & singing for the new guests.. I was well impressed & wanted to get off the coach & stay there.. looks lovely from the outside to.. Sure you'll have a fab time if you stay there x
