Salaam'alaikum,

Thanks for the websites. My Arabic is rather weak since I've been living here in the US. I'll put these sites to good use inshallah.

Hi
I find it hard to learn the language too have been going 3 or more times a year for the past 4 years and still just know a few words although my 7 year old i take with me picks it up so easy and remembers it all no matter how long it is before we go again.
Can i ask is there many English woman that are quite a few years older than their man? It is the only thing that really plays on my mind however i was happily married for 20 years to a man much older than me without any trouble at all.
Its good to know others are in the same situation as me with the language and other things
Regards
Marie

Marie, age is just a number - I think it all depends on how old you feel, not how old you are. I am 34 but still feel like an 18 year old (although the first few wrinkles are starting to show which is a giveaway!) My b/friend is 28 so not much of an age gap for us but there are several people on here with much younger b/friends, some of which are now happily married. And sometimes the younger person in a relationship can be more mature in their ways than the older person, age is not relevant if you are both on the same wavelength.

Hi Marie
My now EX was 8 yrs younger than me, out there it didnt seem to matter but when he came here in 1997 he was 23 and I was 31. He was like a little child being let loose in a toy shop!! I know they are not all the same but lets just say I had 2 children already then I had 3!!!! If something is niggling you maybe it bothers you more than you think. Dont want to be negative but we follow our instincts when we fall for these guys but ignore our doubts???!!! x

Where did you get the language tapes

I am 62 years old and my husband of 3 years is 26 years. We are very very happy and do not notice the age difference. I am the one who sometimes brings the subject up and my husband gets very cross with me.
