3 books that I would highly recommend:

1) The Reluctant Fundamentalist- really good book about the culture gap between India and America, story about a young Indian man growing up in the US during war with Pakistan.

2) The Kite Runner- Probably the best book I have ever read and the film is even better than the book, which is a first. Story about 2 arabic best friends growing up in Afghanistan and the struggles caused by the Russian Invasion and the growing presence of the Taliban. Literally made me cry for hours and hours because i was both sad and happy and the same time!

3) Hideous Kinky, about a british single mum who moves herself and her 2 very young daughters to Marrakesh (Morocco) in the 1970's. Bloody brilliant!

xx

I was thinking of an idea of lending out books to people.

At the moment, if anyone is interested in reading Fatwa and Invisible Women - by Jacky Trevane . Then let me know, and I can forward them on to you, then if anyone else wants to borrow them, the person I send them to can just pass them on... Until everyone who wants to read them has...

What do you think??

And then when my next lot of books are finished. I'll do the same with them.
