Default Beautiful City,

Hi Everybody,

I'm just back from my spring holiday ... 15 days in Tunisia, the weather was perfect, warm and lovely, between the 20 and the 30 degrees. i stayed in Sousse and i rented a car for 15 days for 25 pounds aday ... a new, one month old Polo ... i drove everywhere in Tunisia and i went 5 times to Monastir, it's too nice to walk in the Marina of Monastir, and to drink a coffe overthere, we had the chance me and my wife to eat a diner in a small restaurant, in fact we are not that easy with food in spite that i'm tunisian but we just did it and we entred to a mexican restaurant in the Marina of Monastir, and we really enjoyed the food there, he has a nice steak... mexican steak it was too delicious ... and we drinkedcoffee there and then we drove back to Sousse ...

Monastir is a quite nice city the sea is beautiful there and the people are kind, they have a long beach where you can really enjoy walking ... it's something like a park on the beach called "Le Falaise" it was really very nice and romantic, we had a lot of fun in Monastir ... we went also to the "Ribat" it's a monument in the center of Monastir, i think it's from the medieval period, it's very nice and if you are not scared of high places from the tower of the Ribat

you can enjoy a very very nice view of the sea and the whole city... and we went also to the cimetiere where Habib Bourguiba the old president of Tunisia is buried, it's a very nice monument ... what i really like the most about Monastir, is its place in the country, i mean it's closed to everything ... something like 5 minutes from the airport, and something like 15 minutes from Sousse , 45 minutes from Kairouan, something like 30 minutes from Mehdia ... it's really a lovely city ... Go to visit Monastir and you will never regret it

Cheers
Makrem

Smile Monastir

I just read your comments about Monastir.

I wonder if you could give me some information about the property market in Monastir and the surroundings. I have been to Tunisia several times and must say it is a wonderful country. My husband is going to view some properties in February but at the moment we are trying to get as much information as possible. Some of the estate agents are not replying to our e-mails unfortunately and the communication is not very easy. Do you know any reliable estate agents in the area?

Many thanks.

Mrs S.Karim

This looks like a beautiful part of the country. Loved the pictures, thanks for sharing them. I also love the fact that it is near to a lot of other places. Hope to see it when we go.

Hi Mrs Karim,

For property in Tunisia it's really worth checking out www.thetunisianhouse.co.uk

I have UK friends who have just bought a wonderful beach apartment in Chott Meriem and everything went like clockwork.

Those are beautiful pictures of a city with such glorious beaches and sculpted palaces. What a truly nice trip it would be. I can understand why you would love to get some property for yourself and family.
