Default Favourite Resturants

I will kick this off my favourite resturant thus far in tunisia for international cuisine is "Le Vendôme" (probably spelt incorrectly). The resturant is a french a la carte style with modern decor and stylish feel. It is not cheap but not expensive for Europeans it is in a area that is being rennovated in the centre surrounded by banks best take a taxi methinks. There is also an upmarket "tea salon" called Tourag near by which is nice a modern unless your like me and like the cheap and cheerful. I will see if i can find the address unless anyone beats me to it.

Hi Kris,

In which city is this ?

There's a nice Restaurant in Sousse .. i love it man ... Sweet, chik and beautiful ... called " The 3 Dolphins " it's in sousse in the way to Port Kantaoui .. before Boura-Boura and " Galeria" it was a good restaurant .. i spent there a too nice everning there for 60 Dinars .. something like 40 Euro's ... so it's cheap and nice ...

For Tunis, I would recommend a special restaurant on 5 Rue Dar El Jeld. You will need an appointment, but your hotel can set you up with that. It is a beautiful old family home that has been carefully converted into a restaurant, with some rooms left as they were. The food is great and the whole thing is quite an experience. You enter through a big yellow door that is opened once you knock - the entrance has not been converted into a lounge or anyghing modern. The smiling man that opens and greets you will be there to pour some orange blossom water on your hands as you leave.

Other than that, I usually visit local restaurants in other parts of Tunisia, in areas that are not that full of tourists. I would recommend that you give it a try if you dare, there are many great little places out there!

Default Hi

LOL @ Hannah!

Well as Im always on the hunt for something that can bring me back to home, I can definately recommend the Seville Indian restaurant on Boulevard 7 Novembre, its behind the Seville shopping centre on that strip and absolutely gorgeous, Im a sucker for a Korma and the chef is great he actually owns an Indian restaurant in Brighton and so knows his stuff yum!
