Hi Abdullah, It is not possible to change Tunisian Dinar in the UK. In fact it is illegal to take it out of Tunisia. The dinar is a closed or soft currency - the government set the rate daily -and it cannot be bought outside of Tunisia.

Hi Abdullah, One of the others has posted on a different part of the site that you can find Tunisian Dinars to buy in the UK - I've never heard them being available before - perhaps she can tell you where you can source them and then you can change yours there!! Worth a try!

Hello Abdullah,

You can only buy "current" tunisian currency in Tunisia ... i have seen website for tunisian currency but these are "old notes & coins that peopple have collected and that are no longer in circulation in the country. Also make sure you change it back before leaving the country as you cannot get it changed back in any other country either.

I bet my friend wish he knew this before leaving Tunisia. He came back with money and found out that you couldn't exchange it Why he did I don't know? Thank goodness he didn't bring back a huge amount.
