For a night out with a difference in Sousse, it's worth going along to the Casino Caraibe (Sundays and Wednesdays) for the original 'Changing Ladies' Spectacular. It starts from 9pm through till midnight, cost 25 dinars. It's a fantastic night out, lots of laughs guaranteed! I laughed till I cried - thank goodness for waterproof mascara! The Casino is situated on Avenue (Boulevard) 7 Novembre, Sousse opposite Samara Hotel & Club Living.

    Hi Roulla

The times I've been there, I've never seen any young children there, teenagers yes. It's more funny and acts are outrageous nothing blue. Most of these groups work the hotels too so I suppose their acts will have to suit all ages.

    Hi there,
Have seen the show in the past and it was a bit saucy but OK for children they just understand as much as they want to.
Compared to what is available for general viewing in the Uk, it is really quite mild. Quite a spectacle anyway.

You can see the rest of the pix on our tunisia.com fb pages.

Interestingly enough, I received one comment on one of the pix. It reads:

"Please take these pictures down. Tunisia is a Muslim country. Using this to sell tourism is disgusting. Thank you."

Wondered what your views were on this?

Think it depends which way tourism goes if things are regulated more or ? Imagine the leanings towards the way things were going will change so if this sort of entertainment is deemed ok we`ll have to wait and see. At least the poster was polite. Personally I think people could do with a change this stuff been around too long, and is old hat, to me a stage show but with more general appeal, changing from a Glee type thing to a Carousel ? anything including dance.

A bit old hat like animation shows in hotels - they need a makeover - but this group do update their acts. Was surprised to see Adele. And the audiences just love it - noticed mainly Polish, Czech, Canadian, German and French in that night.

The thing is also, apart from one, it's all Tunisians who work in this group between performers, dressers and behind the scenes. And, I suppose, it's keeping the Casino staff in work too at the moment although only once a fortnight as opposed to twice a week.

The Casino is a fabulous venue - went to a wedding there in 2002 - can fit in hundreds.

Many Canadians would never perhaps have seen anything like this live especially. Well agree with the job creation part 100% and the updating of acts but I think a change would also be nice also, maybe room for two shows with the venue, now tourists coming back. Perhaps on the books eventually. Nice to see the dust off the doors of the Casino been walking past it for so long looking for signs of activity.
Animation well I wonder if it differs very much from hotel to hotel? Awful where we stay but funnily enough people always seemed to flock to the Tej for their live music etc every night.
Some more sophisticated venues now I suppose for you residents in the area.
