    Re "fixed or flexible loans"

    As-Salamu Allaykum,
    Not a 'fundi' on this, however, thought the following would be helpful;
IF the Loan is taken out with an 'Hallal' bank, they do not charge interest.

ONE of the forms of Loan is that THEY buy the property at the going price, mark it up by an agreed amount, then sell it back to you -
THUS; whether You pay it off in 6 months or six years, the end price is always 'fixed' [no nasty surprises].

Hope that is of some help.
Kind Regards, & Best Wishes in Your Ventures,
    Aleef [asidf]

HI, i have one question on the subject of property, I hope it does not sound too stupid, I have purchased a property in Le-Monaco resort in sousse, very close to the centre right on the beach, I am in the process of waiting for my permission to buy to come through, been waiting around 7 months now, I have decided to sell based on the fact that I looking to move to North Cyprus, anyway can I advertise the property for sale at this point in time, I have paid for the apartment and wish to now sell, is this possible or do I have to wait for permission to buy to come through first? thankyou in advnce if anyone can help answer this question.

You mean your trying to flip the property?

This was common practice in the boom times in dubai and UK bascially the price would go up and you would make money wthout even completing.

I would think as long as somone is willing to take over the contract for the purchase then I cannot see a problem.

This will be easy if the market is good/impossible if the market is bad.

I would just place and advert as you would but mention the apartment is due for completion in the future and just sell it as you would normally.

Nice development that one good luck please keep me posted and tell me how much interest you get as the market has turned for the worse.

    Hi Joken

I bought without agents and had a few hiccups but all resolved thankfully. I like to call it a learning curve!!!

One thing I personally would never do is buy something off plan without seeing it!!!! Have you been to Tunisia many times?

Surely you are being guided by your Tunisian lawyer who will have gone over the contract with you?

Les Dunes hasn't moved - there is still only the original block where reception is and that's not finished. (I have a friend who lives in that block) but not even a blade of grass has been touched with regard to the rest of the development.

There are buying nightmares in Tunisia as well as Spain etc and I received an email recently from a company who were about to set up in Tunisia but said the off plan developments were 'a minefield' so they pulled out.

    Right spam removed service resumed.

Please note folks recommending companies, we are not nasty but a house is normally the largest purchase someone makes in their life.

For that reason if you want to recommend a company please ask beforehand to one of the moderating team as companies do seek to spam this forum.
