Default The Best Tours

Thailand has many hiking and biking tours to the jungles and Cambodia has temples and sites like The Killing Fields as tours.

What are the more famous or most sought after tours in Tunisia? What cities give the visitor insight into Tunisia's military and geopolitical history?

There is so much to see in Tunisia... In the Tunis area you obviously have the ruins of Carthage. There are also many old Roman ruins, like the amphi theatre in El Jem, the ruins of Bulla Reggia and many more. Moving further south you have Matmata, famous for its' berber dwellings and also many movies have been shot here, like part of the first Star Wars movie. Then you reach the Sahara, where you can go for camel rides or hikes in the desert. In addition, you have oases, beautiful mountians and of course the Mediterranean. Cities that I have visited many times are Mahdia, Sousse, Monastir - the last two are very popular among tourists - and Kairouan, the holy city which is also famous for its' makrouth - cookies. I am sure you will find something that you like!
