That sounds like a fun train excursion. Tunisian cowboys and indians... now wouldn't THAT be a sight?! :-) Was this train ride very expensive? I'll
look forward to seeing your pictures, too.

Hi Katharina, It was fun and cheap too - can't remember exactly how much. Couldn't manage to upload pix here but you can view them on www.nomarmiteintunisia.co.uk and look under Attractions of the South. Enjoy!

Hi Essem,
those photo's are "WoW" fantastic.
My hubby's family are from the next Village to Metloaui, place called Moulares and his father worked in the phosphate company for many years until ill health!
Havent been on the red lizard train myself but have been on train from Sousse down to Metlaoui which took 8 hours (night train) Have also visited Tamerza and there are really some breathtaking sights down in the south... Havent seen the pomegranate trees in full season either ...... would love to be there picking them so would my four year old..she loves them and always talking about the ones that are growing on her Nana's land...
Havent tried to upload photos on this site before but has re-sizing the pictures pixels got anything to do with? maybe?
worth a look on nomarmite just to get a look at those beautiful sights...
Thankyou very much

My Grandma had apple trees and we picked those every summer. They were green and delicious. We had about 6 trees, and the blossoms were white when they bloomed. What a smell!

If no solution would be delighted to email you the photos - also got one of a pomegranite tree in the middle of the date palms in Nefta and some of the salt lake and salt camels at Chott el Djerid. Had a quick look on google but can only find references to LR on a couple of sites so far.

Hi Roseheart, I've already seen them and they are fantastic, really lovely. I'm not great at taking photos but I like to have a go - to capture some memories! I keep meaning to carry my camera with me for the unexpected pix - but I always seem to forget it!!!
I was trying to upload onto this page, as I'd seen that someone had done something similar before on another page, but the message i got told me that my file was bigger than could be uploaded. I've uploaded photos onto the gallery too and it was straightforward. Hope to see many more of yours. Well done!
