I visited Tozeur 2 years ago when I stayed in Nefta over the New Year. The Paris-Dakkar rally was on and it was so busy (Nefta). I bought a fabulous straw hat in Tozeur to remind me of my time there and I used is for sunbathing - it was huge and quite distinctive in shape - until my dog ate/destroyed it one evening. Need to revisit to buy another one!
