Default Tunisia's tourism investment

Parts of Tunisia are soon to benefit from major investment in the tourism sector within a number of regions.

A delegation of officials is currently visiting the country in order to mark the tenth anniversary of a key project which was launched in Yasmine Hammamet.

Nadhmi Auchi, president of the executive board of General Mediterranean Holding, is leading the group during its visit.

Plans are being put in place to build a health tourism complex in Hammamet, which follows the 65 million dinars which has been put aside for a five star hotel and 150 villas.

The introduction of a health spa complex is being labelled as a major move for the tourism industry in Tunisia and is aimed at attracting more European visitors.

General Mediterranean Holding wants to open new client niches in Tunisia and aims to encourage more winter tourism in the country.
