Welcome to the forum. I think you have a nice trip if you'll be visiting the war graves. I have seen pictures, and they are just breathtaking to look at. They are beautifully groomed parks with the graves on the top of the grass.

Hi Irene, Have you had a look at the British Embassy website. They have a travel advice section for each country - scary stuff! I have Algerian friends, a family who come by car to Tunisia every year for a holiday (he's a government minister) and in the past have invited me back there. Last year they said not to even consider it - too risky!

Hi Irene welcome to the forum, are you planning on visiting in Tunisia and then onto Algeria? If so would you want to travel straight back from Algeria to the UK or back to Tunisia then the UK?

Hi Irene, to get to Algeria from Tunis you can either fly or get the louagge from Tunis, Bab bhare.
If you visit www.tunisair.com the website is in French but you can pretty much find your way around and you'll be able to find the information for flights from tunisia to algeria.
Getting on the louagge may seem the cheaper option but its a lot of travelling. I dont know if it would be worth you visiting your local travel agency as they may be able to organsie all the flghts and hotels with an intertinery so to speak, as you could get flights and hotel in tunisia and then the same in algeria and back again, it would also save you having to book everything separetly especially if you've never been to Tunisia or Algeria before

Hi Irene, I love Mahdia too - it is so picturesque. I love the cafe on the front set in the rocks - can't remember what it's called now. I've stayed in the Vincci and the Mouradi a few times. Beaches are so white and clean. Hope you enjoy your stay.
