Default TUNISIA-TOURISM: government plan to promote tourists visiting TUNISIA by 2016

The tourism minister Khelil Lajimi said on Tuesday that TUNISIA received 6.7 million tourists and recorded bed-nights in 2007.

In this regard, the Tunisian tourism minister pointed out that the head of state had ordered to pursue a strategic study to promote tourism by 2016, so as to improve the Tunisian tourism position , to render it more competent and make it more efficient .

Moreover, the minister emphasized on the development of the monitoring operation of hotels and the various hotel units so as to better the quality of tourists services and contribute to the establishments of greater efficiency.

In this perspective, Mr Lajimi said that Tunisia is determined to boost the European tourists flow to our country by improving the marketing strategy of the Tunisian tourist product.
