Tunis, June 4, 2007- (TunisiaOnline)--On the occasion of the National Tourism Day on June 27, 2007, ‘Founoun Sufetula', the city's dynamic cultural association organizes under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism the first edition of the June Spring Festival.
The event is aimed at reviving Sbeitla which is home to the evocative ancient time of Sufetula famous for its remarkably preserved Roman Temples, glorious Byzantine history as well as fostering cultural tourism in the area.
Art and music lovers will be charmed by the festival's art exhibits and folklore music.
Along with the exhibitions and concerts, poetic recitals will undoubtedly create a space where the modern and ancient Sbeitla meet and merge.
The festival also aims at shedding light on the rich historical heritage of a city that witnessed the Numidian, Roman, Byzantine and Arab cultures.
The chairman of ‘Founoun Sufetula' and the regional delegate for tourism will hold a press point on June 20 to present the festival's official program.
