Walking through Sidi Bou Said, (my favourite place) in the days when you couldnt even really hold hands (tourist and a local) 1995, we got stopped by the Police, he asked me for my passport whih I gave to him. He looked at me and said "Ahhhh United Kingdom of America" Foolish man, lol :~)

Well, 2007 first ever "abroad" holiday....Went to Tunisia LOL......

Decided to go on the camels.....my friend and our guide thought it would be funny to make my camel dance........which was sooo NOT funny......
Anyway a little while later, my friend was ahead of me, and the guide whispers to me...."make camel dance for friend"??......I happily agreed, and the camel did a little jig....only my poor friend had just taken lid off her water and wasn't holding on HA!! she went west, hanging down the side of the camel,,,,legs a kimbo....nearly broke her neck...oopsie,,,,the guide was so mortified and had to help my friend back up onto the camel....we had a big giggle when we got back to hotel and my friend had downed a few wines to forget her trauma.....best friend anyone could have me lol.

Was gobsmacked at the culture difference, and snap happy me stopped outside the police station in sousse with my friend, camera out, taking photo's of police cars, inside and out may i add LOL!!!! Disgruntled tunisian plod comes out insisting that I give him my camera......I say "Oh please no, i just want to make one photo for the children at home, maybe I take the photo of you?....."
He quickly hurried us on our way....camera in tact with a flea in our ears LOL!!! OOPS!! Can't believe we nearly got arrested!
