Lucky Couple
for those who have managed to get there loved ones a Visa to enter to UK.
i am married to Tunisian last dezember but unfortunatly i am not rich enuff for the embassy in tunis i am only a working person who just come a couple a pound under the 1000 a month,
for me this is wrong to judge a marriage on money or incombe so basiclly they saying is ,,,,,if someone has 5000 in the bank then they give the husband or wife a visa, then they come up with something like...bring us a job invitation from UK,
great, how can my husband go for a job interview when he is in tunisia????? and as we all know we all have to have a job interview enable to get a job.
So be warned if you not rich dont fall in love with a tunisian you have no chance to get him/her over here

Its sad but true in a way as the consul have a horrible job somtimes.
They have to consider everyone a liability unless given enough evidence that you can support that person without them having a job.
I am sure that after a period of marriage this will be reconsidered I advise saving what you can and seeking the advice of a visa solicitor who can prepare your appeal.
Best wishes and I hope this situation is rectified as soon as possible.

I am sorry to hear of your experience. Many of my friends find themselves in a similar situation since they might not have much money, or haven't worked for very long, or even live in Tunisia with their spouse so they don't make much money or have UK housing... I hope you will soon be together. I myself am Swedish but visa applications take very long here so I am also waiting to be reunited with my husband.

They see the £/$ and screw u for what they can.
What/who gives them the right to play god with peoples lives?
People don't marry for money or whats in the bank account.... but marry for love, and having money or not doesnt prove that your not worthy of love...
As for work, well even with a job offer in writing and contacts to back it up can still be unacceptable. All it takes is 1 phone call to get the proof they need but they couldn't even bother to make that call.
Half the time they dont even bother to study the info infront of them.
Catch them on a good day u will get your visa, catch them on a bad day then u wont.... Luck of the draw I suppose!

hi there
i am german national but i live and work in uk 16 years now the visa for my husband is called EEA Family Permit that gives him the same right as the EEA National when they marry.
Please please take care and i wish you both that the happy day comes soon to you both so you can be re-united. Its horriable in know myself when your loved one has to stay behind and i hate it every time i have to say ...bessalama ...at the airport. All this money for flying back and forth could be saved. but what can 1 do????????

Hi again Georgisoff1,
I too had everything prepared and it was a lawyer who convinced me to apply again rather than appeal because my circumstances had changed for the better and would be so much quicker than appeal. I too had letters from environmental health, employer, landlord, my other kids etc. My husband had even gone out of his way to learn English but still the embassy wasn't having it and unfortunately they put so much strain on our relationship and we even have a young daughter between us and still they not interested about the effect it's having on us....
So just want to wish u all the best with your appeal and could u plz let us know how u get on?
thinking of u.
cheers x

heres a list of thing i can think of to take, or do you think it might be overkill or not enough. and do they check them all.
Work : payslips, employment letter, accountants letter,
House : housing tenacy contract, council tax bill, rent book, photos of flat, gas bill, electricity bill, water bill,
Bank : bank statement, isa statement, credit card statement.
Ourselfs : birth certificates, passports, marrige certificate, phone bills, phone cards, personal letters, greeting cards, birthday cards, holiday photos together, engagement photos, wedding photos, txts,
