I can't remeber exactly what I wrote in my sponsor letter, I think maybe I should have kept a copy of it and I've wrote 2 of them!
I think it was generally along the lines of explaining your relationship how long we've been together the ways on contacting each other, if you've ever lived togther before, just so they have the history, the reasons why your apart and the reaons why you want him to come over etc. The fact that you can support him whilst here and any plans that you have. To be hinest I think I just rambled on for pages and tried to include as much supporting do***ents with it, like phones bills to show the contact any things for sending stuff over in the post, bank statements wage slips to show you can support, proof of your accomidation etc. I generally think just include anything that you can and even if some seems irrelevant just put it its better to have more then not enough,
Good luck with everything, hope some of it helps

Hi,
If you look in 'weddings, friends and visa issues' on page 3 Kris did a thread 'getting tunisians to the uk-the visa thread' page 1 dated 14/8/06. He did an example of a letter, I have used this as a basis for mine, he also outlined what else you should send as back up. If you look on the UKVisa's site they also give you an up to date list of things to include as a sponsor as some things now need to be time sensitive.

Hope this helps, we are in the middle of applying for a visitors visa so don't know how successful this will be but have followed all the requirements, starting to feel like a philadelphia lawyer!!

Best of luck.

Hi again,

Go to www.ukvisas.gov there you should go to 'do I need a visa?' and then click on 'Information for sponsors', that sets out the criteria you have to meet and what proof to provide.

xx

Hi Sam, I know what you must be going through. I am expecting a baby from my Tunisian partner in July.
Hope goes well for you. If you go to the following website: http://www.britishembassy.gov.uk/tunisia
On your left you will find UK Visa's- Information for Sponsors - Sponsership Undertaking Form.
This is a sponsor letter that you will have to add to the application.
Good luck, let me know how you get on.
Nicolette x
